How to Apply Eyeshadow for Asian Eyes

"A beautiful eye makes silence eloquent, a kind eye makes contradiction an assent, an enraged eye makes beauty deformed. This little member gives life to every other part about us; and I believe the story of Argus Joseph Addison
implies no more than that the eye is in every part; that is to say, every other part would be mutilated were not its force represented more by the eye than even by itself." -

None of us couldn't have agreed more! A little eye makeup can make your eyes the way you want them to look. Asian eyes are unique in structure and thus, special care has to be taken while applying eye makeup.

Most Asians complain that their eyes are too small with tiny eye lashes and big eye lids. However, this very characteristic is what makes these eyes so special. So let's begin with the beauty tips to make your eyes look as gorgeous as ever!

The Modern, Chic and Sexy Look

This look can be worn anytime during the day and is meant especially for the very corporate look. To get this look all you will need is a black liner, defined eyebrows, glossy pout, elusive rouge or bronze on the cheeks and the rest is history. First, line the eyes with a black eyeliner. As many Asian women have short eye lashes, using fake ones can also complete the look. On the eye lids, use a shade of bronze or brown. To add some depth, apply a little darker shade on the outer crease. Outline your brows of the perfect shape to make your face look sharper and neater. Et voila! You have the look.

Color Butterfly Look

This eye shape allows you to use a palette of diverse colors! Combination like bright turquoise shades merged with violets, deep greens with hues of gold and rusty copper with shimmering brown will bring out your colorful side. As you are using a lot of colors for this look, keep your lips as low key as possible. Apply the darker or brighter shades towards the inner sides of the eye lids and go lighter as you come outwards. Use a black fine tipped eye liner to define your eyes. Don't be afraid to use glitter. Use a mascara to add volume to your eyelashes.

Nymph of the Night Look

'Nymph of the Night' look is my personal favorite. It does not require much, nevertheless it speaks a lot. So here's what you have got to do. Shades of cocoa, bronze, shimmer, copper and metallic shades is what you needs. A fine tipped eyeliner, mascara, fake eyelashes and a kohl pencil will add the finishing touches. Begin by shading the eyes with the aforementioned shades of your choice. Make sure the color becomes lighter towards the upper side of the eye lids. Then define the eyes with the liner and kohl on the lower eyelid. To finish the look, use the mascara on the eye lashes. While applying eyeshadow, see to it that the color merges with the skin tone as well. As the focus is on the eyes, work with nude makeup for the rest of the face.

If you are a novice at using eye makeup, don't experiment much with eyeshadow colors. Keep the colors as close to your skin color as possible. You can begin using bolder colors, once you've mastered the technique of applying eyeshadow to your eyes gradually. The secret of making your eyes look dazzling is to keep the rest of the makeup as simple as possible. Some Asian women have pink undertones, while some bask in the radiance of yellow. For those with pink, avoid shades of pink and red and the ones with yellow skin should avoid shades of gold. Whether it's applying eyeshadow for blue eyes or applying eyeshadow for brown eyes, always choose a darker base which will help you work better with the illusion as you move towards the outer crease.
