Here’s another Holiday Palette 2012 review for all you makeup geeks! I have to admit, I picked up this Too Faced palette because of the cute pink packaging… Can you tell I love pink? ;)
This Too Faced Sweet Indulgence Palette comes in a cute pink tin and has 16 eyeshadows, 2 bronzers, 2 blushes, a highlighter, brush, and an eye primer. Quite a bit of stuff for one palette! It even includes little idea cards showing you how to use the palette.
I love the eyeshadows in this palette as they are super pigmented and very creamy. The metallic finish ones look like pure metal- they’re that intense! 14 of the eyeshadows are shimmery, and 2 are matte finish. Because the color “teddy bear” is a great matte nude, you could probably put together a few different looks using just this palette. My favorite colors are “cherry cola”- a unique red plum color with specks of red glitter in it, and “copper peony”- a true metallic copper.
The bronzers are both beautiful and would work best for fair to medium skin. Darker skin could use them to add warmth to the cheeks. One bronzer is satiny, while the other is more shimmery. The two blushes are soft and smooth- one is pink, the other is peach and both are shimmery. I’m not too fond of the cheek highlighter as it’s a bit chunky and too glittery. Honestly, I would just use the eyeshadow “satin sheets” or “peach fuzz” as a highlighter instead.
The dual ended brush is really soft and great for blending. One side is a soft dome shaped brush, and the other end is a sponge applicator (for packing eyeshadow on the lids). AND…. don’t forget the full sized eye primer- it works great!
I don’t really have too many complaints about this palette as it is well rounded as has a great variety of products and colors. The tin is cute (could be considered cheap if you don’t like tins), but I like the girly style of it :) The only thing I would change is adding a couple more matte finish shadows to the palette so it’s not so much shimmer, and make one of the blushes a matte instead of shimmer. (geez, I don’t want to look like a disco queen with all that shimmer!)
Pros:
- Great price for everything that is included
- Eyeshadows are great quality- pigmented, creamy, and easy to blend. I love the metallic texture of the shimmer shadows
- Bronzers are very smooth and not too orange like some other bronzers
- Cute packaging
Cons:
- Could switch out a few shimmer shadows for matte ones
- Cheek highlighter is too chunky
- The pink blush should have been matte instead of shimmer
Price: $52
Where to Buy: Amazon
Overall, great collection and fair price! Hope you enjoyed my review, and happy shopping!!
