Urban Decay describes this as being “For the girl who works and plays hard – easy daytime neutrals, one vivid bright and a portable lip gloss ready for the office or an impromptu happy hour.”
The Urban Decay Rollergirl palette comes with:
- 4 x Eyeshadows
Woodstock – Hot pink with shimmer (The ‘pop’ colour in this palette)
Verve – oyster shimmer; looks silvery when applied
Suspect – mid-tone neutral brown with shimmer
Darkhorse – warm dark brown with gold shimmer.

Darkhorse – warm dark brown with gold shimmer.
- 1 x Travel Size 24/7 Eyeliner in Whiskey (medium warm brown)
- 1 x Lip Junkie in Crush (Hot pink)
The packaging of the palette is sturdy and well designed, that features images of a 1970’s girl with roller-skates, with accents of gold and pink both on the out and inside of the package. The packaging supports a small mirror, four eyeshadows and the mini eyeliner. The kit also comes with a lip gloss, but this does not fit within the palette. The palette size is quite small (13cm (L) x 5.3cm(W) x 1.5cm (D)), which makes it a great palette for travel and touch-ups, and it magnetises shut to ensure the products stay in place.
The 3 more neutral shades (Verve, Suspect & Darkhorse) have a great level of pigmentation, the texture is smooth and has great blendibility. Woodstock- the bright pink in the palette, has a less impressive texture than the other shades in the palette, but has an equally impressive blendibility. Woodstock is not as pigmented as the other shades, but due to the intensity of the colour, its not really a downfall as it allows you to layer to your desired intensity. This colour looks great as an eyeshadow, but can also be used as a blush.
The 24/7 Eyeliner has a very rich colour pigment, is smooth and creamy in texture, and is easily smudged. The lip junkie is quite an opaque hot pink gloss, that is a little bit tacky, but gives the lips a cooling feeling, with a refreshing peppermint scent.
The thing I think that was lacking in this palette was a matte eyeshadow and/or a highlight colour. I feel that although the eyeshadows are good, there is a lot of shimmer, and a matte shade would have been a perfect addition. Verve is the lightest colour in the palette, but comes of a silvery colour, so it is not a very good colour to use as a highlight.
It is a more pricy item, but the value aspect of the amount of products and quality vs. the price make this a very worthwhile kit to purchase. Overall, the palette is very impressive, with the quality of the products, packaging and overall co-ordination of products being very well done.
