So, you want to have the perfect lips? Well, I don't blame you, they are quite an asset. More so, the perfect pair of lips can really make your face look brighter, happier and more perfect! So, are you ready to know how to get a perfect set of lips? Well I must first warn you because following the steps given in this
article may make you way more attractive than you appear and may bring the occasional, irritating pick up lines. So, let's begin!
Simple Tricks to Make Your lips
Trick # 1
You need to know one thing, i.e. lips are delicate and the skin on the lips is sensitive. So sensitive that smoking can darken it and the sun can damage it. So, make sure you have sunscreen
Trick # 2
Make sure that you exfoliate your lips on a regular basis. By that I don't mean that you use a loofah and scrub
Trick # 3
Scrubbing the lips, lightly, with rose water and sugar also works well. Not only does it soften the lips but it also gives them a very kissable sweet aftertaste. More so, using this method will avoid any chances of you scratching your lips. Chances of them drying are also relatively less with this method. This method of exfoliation can be used everyday as it uses sugar and rose water which are harmless for the lips.
Trick # 4
Drink plenty of water. The first body part to show the effects of dehydration are your lips. Drinking enough water in the day will make sure that your lips don't look dry, rough or chapped. More so, every time you feel your lips getting a little dry, drink water. This will moisten them instantly. More so, drinking enough water helps make the skin glow as well, giving your face a healthy and picture perfect look.
Trick # 5
Always use a lip balm
Trick # 6
Nightly moisturizing is the key to perfect lips. Make sure that you apply a thick layer of moisturizer
Trick # 7
A healthy diet is the easiest way to have perfect healthy lips. Fruits and vegetables will keep your lips gorgeously pink and hydrated. More so, it will delay the botox sessions considerably. Further, a healthy figure will accentuate the perfect lips beautifully, don't you think?
You could opt for botox and fillers as well, but these tricks are for those who are not able or willing to spend thousands of dollars, pounds and rupees on those treatments. Several people have tried out these methods and seen positive results. However, the treatment time may differ, so it is best not to get impatient. This is where I sign off! All the best!!

With Honey

Apply the paste on clean lips, and leave it to dry. After the mixture dries up, wipe it off with a wet cloth. If you want some more flavor, you can add olive oil or rose water.
With a Toothbrush
What is the possible connection between toothbrush and exfoliate lips at home? Well, a toothbrush can be used as a remedy for exfoliating lips! All you have to do is, apply a thick layer of moisturizer on the lips, stand in front of the mirror, take a toothbrush and start brushing your lips in a circular motion, but very gently! You are trying to exfoliate lips, not scrape them! The moisturizer and the brush together will help to get rid of the dead skin, making the lips soft. Once the dead skin is removed, you can wipe it off with a tissue or damp cloth. You can use a baby toothbrush so that your lips don't hurt.
With Baking Soda
Add baking soda to water and form a paste. Apply the paste on the lips in a circular motion, as it will help the mixture to penetrate inside the lips. Leave the mixture on the lips for a minute and then wipe it off. The baking soda won't moisturize the lips so remember to put lots of lip balm after this method.
With Lemon Juice
Chapped lips can be treated best with lemon juice. Take a tablespoon of lemon juice and add one tablespoon of castor oil and glycerin in it. Apply the mixture to the chapped lips and leave it overnight. Next morning rub off the mixture with a wet cloth. Lemon juice will remove the dead skin cells and glycerin will moisturize the lips.

Lips are an important facial feature, which should be paid special attention to. Lips are a very noticeable feature of a person. Especially, when you tend to speak, the movement of eyes and lips tend to catch the attention. Taking care of the facial skin is easy. However, one needs to take special care of the lips. Wondering, why? Lips need special attention, because lips lack oil glands, hence, they don't have the ability to retain moisture. Because of this reason one needs to take good care of lips.
Step #1 - Exfoliate Lips
The simplest way to exfoliate lips is to use a toothbrush. Just apply a thick layer of moisturizer on lips like purified butter or petroleum jelly, then stand in front of the mirror and with a soft toothbrush keep brushing the lips in small circular motions very gently. Then wash your lips and check. Apply a bit of honey on the clean lips, and leave it for 10 minutes and then wipe it off with a wet soft cloth. Lemon juice is another excellent homemade ingredient which can be used for exfoliating your lips. Use this recipe to treat chapped lips. In a bowl take 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, add 1 teaspoon of castor oil to it, and few drops of rosewater. Then apply the mix to the chapped lips and leave it overnight. In the morning wipe your lips with a wet cloth and use a moisturizer.
Step #2 - Use the Best Lip Products
First of all, let us discus about dry, cracked lips care. If you have such lips, then instead of exfoliating them, first heal them and then follow exfoliation and moisturizing for regular care. The best lip care for chapped lips and cracked lips is to use a medicated lip balm. The best products available today for dry, cracked lips are Blistex Medicated Lip Balm, Lysine Lip Balm, Vaseline Lip Therapy, and Cold Sore Lip Balm. You can find these products over-the-counter. Keep on applying a medicated lip balm 3 - 4 times a day to help them heal faster. These products contain special ingredients like aloe vera gel extract, vitamin E, and some sun block which help to bring the lips back to the health. You can also use almond oil which is rich in vitamin E or keep applying fresh aloe gel 3 - 4 times a day to heal the lips naturally.
But, for regular moisturizing you can use oil, petroleum jelly, purified butter, and fresh aloe gel. However, if carrying these products is not a practical option, then consider buying a natural, organic lip product. There are many options to consider. Eco Lips contains certified organic products and comes for $3 only. Other good product is Kiss My Face Lip Care, which is made with certified organic products, comes in variety of flavors and costs only 2 bucks.
Step #3 - Eat Healthy
Eating a well-balanced diet and a nutritious diet can greatly help to keep the lips healthy and moisturized. Eat a lot of fresh fruits and green-leafy vegetables. Also, eat whole-grain foods. Snacking on dry fruits and nuts is also a good idea. Eating foods which are rich in vitamin E will greatly help to keep the skin moisturized and glossy. Keep drinking a lot of water to keep your body hydrated and skin glowing.

Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Eva Mendes and Beyonce are some of the celebrities who have olive skin. There is a misconception that only women who have the bronzed, naturally tanned skin with a sun-kissed glow have olive skin. Well, women with fair complexion could also have olive skin. A majority of Asians and Latinos have true olive skin. Olive skin tones can sometimes be neutral and have yellow as well as pink undertones. So, one could have a dark, medium or fair olive skin with cool, warm or neutral undertones, with a slight greenish tinge in varying degrees. It is the greenish undertone due to which the task of choosing the right makeup becomes difficult.
Shades of Red and Brown
Women who have olive skin should go for corals and browns. These will definitely accentuate your lips. Most women love the color red but not every woman can pull it off. Well, if women with olive skin wish to wear a shade of red, they can go for deep reds with brown undertones. Shades such as cherry red, crimson red and yellow-based shades of red that have a tinge of gold also work well for women with olive skin. A warm shade of orange is also worth a try. Wine, plum, raisin, bronze, copper, beige and taupe coral shades may also complement your skin tone. Rich browns with red undertones and dark berry shades also look great on women with olive skin.

Some of the interesting shades of red and brown are:
- L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipcolour in British Red
- Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Monte Carlo
- Dior Rouge Dior in Hypnotic Red
- Josie Maran Argan Color Stick in Rosey
- Dolce & Gabbana The Lipstick in Cosmopolitan
- Lancôme Color Design Sensational Effects Lipcolor in Retro Rouge

- Nars Lipstick in Jungle Red
- Revlon's Colorburst lipstick in Plum
- Clinique Different Lipstick in Angel Red

- L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipcolour in Mica
Other Shades
Pink is one color that is loved by most women. If you are looking for the perfect shade of pink, it would be a good idea to go for darker pinks with yellow undertones. Pale pink doesn't really work well for those with olive skin, so make sure that you buy darker shades. Fuchsia, berry and pinks with a tinge of orange or purple are great shades for lipsticks for women who have olive skin.

You could check out the following shades:
- Elizabeth Arden Exceptional Lipstick in Hot Pink
- Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Pink Truffle
- Lancome Color Fever Lipstick in Pink in the Limo
- Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense #36
- Too Faced Lip of Luxury Lipstick in Pink Flamingo
- Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor in Pink Wink
- Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in Fuchsia
- Clinique Butter Shine Lipstick in Pink-a-Boo
- L'Oreal High Intensity Pigments in Black Cherry
- Dolce & Gabbana The Lipstick Classic Cream Lipstick in Velvet
- Elizabeth Arden Exceptional Lipstick in Wild Winterberry
While selecting a shade you must also pay attention to the natural color of your lips. If your lips are naturally pink, you can check out nudes with a tinge of pink, peach or beige. Pink with a tinge of gold will also look stunning. If your lips are thin, use a lip liner to create an impression of well-defined and fuller lips. It would be a good idea to go for sheer, shimmery lipsticks or a lip gloss instead of the matte finish. Glossy shades will certainly make your lips look fuller.
I hope that the aforementioned tips will help you pick the right shade for yourself. Besides looking for the best lipstick colors for olive skin, make sure that you pay attention to aspects such as size and shape of your lips. So, get the perfect shade to get the perfect pout!
